So it's been three weeks since I last posted. I think I'm going for the record here. Life has been....bumpy, lol. Basketball has been ok. I'm starting to learn a little more-I think. I can't beleive we're going to have something like 40 games in just a few months.
I am now legally a man. I got a "birthday card" from the Selective Service the day after my birthday, lol. So now I am signed up to be drafted. And now North Korea has a nuke. Figures. Lol, j/k.
Just out of curiosity, who else is going to graduate this year? I think I have already asked this, but I don't remember the response. Are you going to do the ceremony thing? I think my mom wants me to, but I don't know who else is interested.
I just found out that my grandma probably has kidney cancer in both of her kidneys. She is going to Vanderbilt this week to find out for sure. We went and visited her this weekend. She seemed to be feeling ok. Its kind of a surprise because she is otherwise in really good health. She never gets sick or anything. If you don't mind, please keep her in your prayers this week.
Well, be sure to check out my new song I posted. This one is more of a country/southern gospel. Not my usual style, but I like the words to it. How did you like last weeks song?
Have a good'n -Jake
P.S. I'll try to post answers to everyones post, but it will have to be a little later. Be patient!

I went ahead and joined the basketball team, and was promptly handed 50 chocolate bars to sell. I honestly have no idea how I am going to get rid of that many candy bars, lol. So far my family has been my only buyers.
I signed up to take the SAT sometime in November, so I'm kinda nervous about that. I will have to work hard to get the score I need. Is anyone else taking the SAT? What about the ACT? Personally, I think the SAT is easier, but I guess I will soon find out.
O.K., I have run out of things to talk about. I guess that's why I've resorted to talking about selling candy and taking tests, lol. The only thing left to do now is to put a new quote up, change the song, and apologize for such a bad post. I'll try to have a more interesting week so maybe I can have something to talk about. Have a good'n!

P.S. I just figured out how to upload my own music instead of linking to another page! This Is one of my favorite bands, and this is their best song, in my opinion. Just click play!
P.P.S. I got my quote from the book I read this week called "The Count of Monte Cristo". I think it speaks volumes on how prayer is often used, or rather misused. I know that I have certainly learned a lot about prayer in the last few years, and the ways in which God answers it.
| The last couple of weeks have been fun. The new version of iTunes came out, and you can buy movies for you iPod now! As a result, their stock price went up, which was awesome. Yes, I know, no one but me cares. I can't wait to get the movie "National Treasure" on my iPod, though. Today (Friday) I had my A. Chemistry test; it was a monster ! To think I have an entire year of 'em ! How has school been for everyone else?
I went and got a haircut just before the basketball meeting. I think its the worst one I've EVER had! I look like I just enlisted in the Marines! And then I went and met a bunch of new people at the b-ball thing, knowing I looked odd. It was humiliating, to say the least. We played a game or two, which was fun. I didn't really know what I was doing. Half the time I blocked my own teammates, lol. Surprisingly, they still asked my to join. I don't think I will, even though I want to. There other things I have to be thinking about.
Before I forget, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in getting together and maybe doing some kind of humanitarian work. You know, like helping to restore a house for a family in need, have a food drive for the Thanksgiving/Christmas season. Something like that. It would be a good thing to doto help out our community, and it would also be something you could put on your college application. If you are interested, or if you have any suggestions for projects, just let me know.
Sorry for talking your ear off, but that was two weeks worth of stuff I've been saving up! Guess I'll see everyone at the bonfire! Have a good week! God bless!

| This week has gone by real fast for me. Today we had some friends come over to hang out. Actually, we went bowling first, then we came back to my house. We played some pictionary, uno, and Bible trivia. It was really fun, even though I stunk at all of them, especially Bible trivia.
I used to be really good at Bible trivia. It kinda reminds me that I really need to start going to church again, and get back into the habit of studying the Bible. I guess I got so busy this last year or two with our moving and everything that I forgot about some of the most important things in life. That's no excuse, though. I would really appreciate hearing about how everyone else studies the Bible. You know, like do you just read the Bible, or do you use a study guide? That kind of thing. Might help me "get back on track".
Anyway, here are some photos from tonight. We used my Mom's Mac computer to take them. It has a program on there where you can mess around with the pictures. That's why some look so odd. Hope you like 'em. I might post some more if I get a good response w/ these.
To all who came over, thank you! It was the most fun I've had in my own house since.... ever!

| Thanks to David, I have now figured out how to write a blog! I think I have everything set up the way I want now. One of my all-time favorite quotes is at the top of the page, my profile is filled out (almost), and I have even managed to get a profile pic up, though I need a better one. I look like I just got out of bed or something. Some extra info that might not be in my profile. I moved here from Tennessee back in November of '05. I have been home schooled all of my life, except 8th grade. I am now a senior in high-school, and loving it. Mainly because it is the LAST year of school! Its hard to believe that this part of my life is almost over. Sorta scary, isn't it? That's it for now, but I hope to see some comments soon. If you have any suggestions, let me know! -Jake
